Intelligence for life
The name is pronounced "pixie". It is short for pixel, the smallest piece of a picture, and it is also named after the pixie of the fairy tales. The tagline is Intelligence for life: the data describes the natural systems that life, infrastructure and industry depend on, and Pxie turns it into something a developer can use in an afternoon instead of a semester.
How Pxie works
Pxie ingests public, authoritative sources, including government agencies, research networks and certified sensor grids, and computes its own products on top of them: local geomagnetic indices from a network of ground magnetometers, aurora probabilities, electrojet and disturbance indices, crop suitability, sky quality. Where Pxie computes a value, Pxie is the source. Where we pass an agency's measurement through, the response says so, with the licence it carries. Nothing synthetic is served without a clear label.
Everything is delivered the same two ways: a REST API with a credit per call and no contracts, and an MCP server so AI assistants and agents can ask for the same data with the same account.
What we don't do
We don't resell someone else's feed under a new name, we don't publish numbers we can't explain, and we don't quietly fill gaps with made-up values. When a source is down or a station has stopped reporting, the API tells you, and you are not charged for an empty answer.
Get in touch
Partnerships, data licensing, press, or a vertical you wish we covered: write to hello@pxie.ai or use the contact page. Developers can start with the documentation and a free key.
